Christmas Card for Santa

We decided to go to the mall today to get our annual picture with Santa. Tess was so excited and said she wanted to take him a present and started gathering some of her toys. I suggested that perhaps Santa already had plenty of toys and maybe he'd like a Christmas card instead. So we pulled out a card, signed it "Love, Mommy, Daddy, Tess & Zach" as she directed and then she drew a picture of our family, complete with feet, hands and hair on our heads. I love discovering how her little drawings change every-so-often! When we got there, she climbed right up in his lap and gave him the card and a great big hug!! It took a little persuading to get Zach up there though. In the end, he did say cheese, even though he did not smile. I honestly don't think I could've gotten even that much from him if Tess hadn't been sitting up there too. And as I saw Santa open his card, I knew he appreciated her sweetness. :)

Parting shot:

Tess' drawing of a car. Can you see the person looking out the window?

First Snow of '09

We're gonna make a snowman,
It's gonna be a little one,
What a beautiful day;
We're so glad.
